Around 50 residents joined the Great Get Together picnic in the gardens on Saturday, in celebration of the life of Jo Cox and her belief that there is more in common than that which divides us. 

Updated 25th May 2017: Canary Wharf have notified us that they will be resurfacing the South Colonnade carriageway this coming weekend.  The South Colonnade will be closed from 06:00hrs Saturday 27th through to 02:00hrs Monday 29th May.  Please see map for details.  

Canary Riverside will be joining in The Great Get Together weekend by holding its own Great Get Together on Saturday 17th June.  Please save the date!

"A little bit of respect and consideration for your fellow leaseholders [neighbours] can go a long way".  So say ARMA in their advice note Good Neighbours in Flats.  It's not exactly news, but we hope you don't mind us giving a little reminder on things you can do to ensure that you (or your tenant) don't inconvenience your neighbours.  

Over the Easter weekend Greenwich is hosting the start of the Rendezvous 2017 Tall Ships Regatta.  

Residents facing north towards the ramp up to Westferry Circus are being disturbed by the 'ker-clunk' sound of heavy vehicles passing over the security blockers embedded in the ramp.  This is a recurring problem, and we had hoped that the recent road closure of the North Ramp would resolve this issue.

Residents are reminded that road closures for the London Marathon on Sunday 23rd April will mean that there will be no entry or exit to our car park between 8am - 7pm.  The marathon route includes Westferry Road and, therefore, the entrance to the Canary Riverside car park.

The Westferry North ramp (leading up into Canary Wharf, in front of the hotel) will be closed on Saturday night (1st) from 23.00 to 6.00 on Sunday, for repairs to the vehicle blockers.  

Following the lessees' Section 20C application to the FTT to prevent the landlord from recovering any of its legal costs associated with the Section 24 application from leaseholders via the service charge, the FTT has now issued its Decision.

The Tribunal's Order states that the Landlord may not recover any of their costs of the proceedings from the service charge budget, and that they must reimburse the service charge fund £320,826 accordingly.

Tower Hamlets Council has approved the planning application (PA/16/03395/A1) to convert the two floors on top of the Virgin Active gym (previously a restaurant - Battery/Ubon by Nobu) into two residential apartments.

HML Andertons have advised that due to an issue with BT regarding transferring the telephone accounts from CREM to HML Andertons neither the security nor concierge landlines are currently functioning.

The 39-storey Novotel hotel on Marsh Wall has now opened.  Of particular interest to Canary Riverside residents will be the top-floor restaurant, Bokan, which has 360-degree views to rival our own, and an outside terrace.
